Monday, November 14th, 2016

Coming up with new content for your blog that is relevant, fresh and interesting on a regular basis is not an easy thing to do. This is why so many bloggers resort to stealing content from other people in order to make their own blogs more entertaining. This is a huge problem in the blogging world. You need to be on the lookout for this sort of thing in order to make sure that other people are not stealing the blog content you have written and claiming that it is their own. Fortunately, there are a number of things you can do in order to significantly limit the ability of other bloggers to do this sort of thing. Here are some tips that will help you to protect your blog content.

1. It is critical that you copyright all of the content that you produce on your blog.

Copyrighting is the most important thing you can do in order to protect your blog content from people who want to steal it. It is the only way that you will be able to claim in a court of law that you are the creator of the content and have legal ownership of it. Other bloggers will be free to steal any content of yours that has not been correctly copyrighted. They will most likely get away with it if you have no copyright to support your claim that you own the content. Automatically copyright all of your content before you decide to post it. It is crucial that you get into this habit.

2. Place watermarks on all pictures that you post.

You need to protect much more than the blog content that you write. It is imperative that you take the necessary steps to make sure it is impossible for any of your blog content to be ripped off. This also includes all of the pictures that your post. You will have a blog that looks very boring without any pictures. Therefore, you will most likely have many different pictures posted in various locations throughout your blog. A great way to prevent a person from lifting these pictures and posting them on his own blog is to place watermarks on all of them.

3. Use plagiarism software so you can find out if your content has been stolen.

There are many wonderful programs that you can use to your advantage when you have a blog. One of the most important programs is a plagiarism checker. This scans the entire Internet to find a particular blog entry that you have written. You will be able to find out very quickly if any person has copied your exact words and posted them on his or her own blog.

4. Develop your own style of writing that will be easy for other people to recognize.

Some of the most successful bloggers have a way of writing their posts that would be impossible for someone to plagiarize because it is completely unique to that person. Therefore, you need to put some of your own personal flair into everything that you write. This will make it much less likely that someone will try to copy it in the first place. Invent some of your own slang terms that can be closely identified with your blog.
